As in previous years, the GRIDAS bandisce il carnevale di quartiere per Scampia, con la partecipazione di scuole, associazioni e affini e singoli cittadini. Questo è il suo 28° Carnevale.
Il tema di quest'anno è è: “ ASILI AN-NEGATI / PERCORSI RITROVATI”. Il riferimento è all’accoglienza e al diritto d’asilo negati, spesso annegati in mare, ma anche al diritto allo studio, agli asili nido che mancano, alla scuola in genere che ci viene negata non rispondendo alle aspettative di chi la vive e che troppo spesso calpesta i diritti dei più piccoli. E ad annegare è spesso anche la dignità delle tante realtà in lotta, costrette a battersi, inascoltate, sempre per le stesse causes (see the recent re-privatization of water, the climate treaty, the dreaded return to nuclear power, the mega projects that disrupt and crush people and the environment). The routes are found, however, the streets, the historic courses and resorts, the goals that often bring us back on the same track and / or the same battles, but also the paths and alternative methods of "progress" as a human (see line movement in constant struggle or the old and new migrations, as well as the long-awaited bike path escaped as elsewhere). Paths that, when recognized and found, take us out of the abyss of injustice and intolerance and resurrect the best in people, dei luoghi, del costruire insieme un futuro vivibile e giusto .

chi rom e...chi no è al suo 8° anno di partecipazione al carnevale e anche quest'anno costruirà maschere e carro nei laboratori che si terranno fino alla notte prima del corteo previsto per domenica 14 febbraio 2010.
Anche quest'anno tutto il percorso educativo che porterà alla costruzione del carro, delle maschere e degli abiti, sarà un percorso partecipato tra singoli ed associazioni come questi ultimi 7 anni e attraverso le mani e i pensieri di molti adulti e bambini si riusciranno a sviluppare collective utopias.
